UPDATE:  The suspect has been arrested on the N11 near the turnoff of Collings Pass and was driving towards Ladysmith. He will appear in court soon on Friday, 13 October 2023.

DURBAN – Police in Amajuba District Task Team are seeking assistance of community members in locating Sithembiso Wiseman Mlambo (49) of Osizweni Section C who is suspected to be the person behind the murder of his wife Sithembile Joyce Mlambo (39).

It is alleged that on the night of 29 May 2023, the victim was coming from work driving her vehicle at Mndozo area when the suspect opened fire at her. The victim who was still clad in uniform was declared dead at the scene. A warrant of arrest for Mlambo was issued by the Madadeni Magistrates’ Court on 15 September 2023.
