Media Statement KIMBERLEY – Safer Festive Season operations in Upington are gaining momentum after Upington Border police members arrested two males aged 27 and 44 respectively in the early morning hours of Thursday, 23 November 2023 for dealing in dagga. The two were intercepted at about 20 km outside Upington following information that was received about a vehicle that was allegedly transporting dagga to Upington. They were found with dagga amounting to the value of R 5 066 250.00 and an undisclosed amount of cash. The vehicle used in crime was also seized. The two suspects are expected to appear in court soon. Police will strengthen their efforts to address the trafficking of drugs during this period and beyond. Ends
