Western Cape: The station commander of Grassy Park SAPS, Col Shawn van Wyk wants to convey his gratitude and thanks to the community for the intelligence received today (Tuesday 2015-06-09).The members of Grassy Park Crime Prevention followed up the information and searched a flat in Leon Court Ottery, where they found 100 live 9mm - as well as 100 live .38 special rounds of ammunition.

A 44 year old male was arrested for the illegal possession of ammunition. The male suspect will appear in the Wynberg Magistrate Court on the above charge. The community’s vigilance and cooperation with the police once again lead to this huge success.

Anyone with any information about firearms, ammunition, drugs or any criminal activities in their areas is kindly requested to contact their respective police stations or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.
