Media Statement The SAPS members of Provincial Operational Response Services (ORS) under the command of Brig Monica Sebili surprised the scholars at Tlhabologo Inclusive Day Care Centre in Galeshewe, Kimberley on Tuesday, 12 December 2023. The principal, Maureen Tsiu indicated that the Day Care Centre is for children living with disabilities as well as able bodied children and has 30 enrolled scholars. Lt Col Sergio Kock delivered the welcoming address and relayed holiday safety hints to the scholars and reiterated that SAPS cares for children, especially the vulnerable. Santa Claus surprised the children with Christmas gifts as well as party packs during the event. Liza Graaff, one of the provincial coordinators of the Santa Shoebox indicated that 6 schools including child and care centres in Kimberley were identified and 450 children received Christmas gifts this year. It is an annual event and private donors, SAPS members and Santa Shoe Box generously donated Christmas gifts for the children. Ends
