EASTERN CAPE – Yesterday, 28 January 2024 afternoon at approximately 17:30, Kidds Beach SAPS members were conducting crime prevention duties at Lillyvale informal settlement, East London when they spotted a 39-year-old male carrying a box of shoes standing next to a tree.

Upon realizing that he was being approached by the police he attempted to run however, members swiftly caught up with him, few steps from where he was standing. Upon searching the suspect, drugs (dagga, mandrax and Tik) and an undisclosed amount of money were found in a box of shoes he was carrying. The suspect was arrested and charged for dealing in drugs and will appear before the East London Magistrate Court on Tuesday, 30 January 2024.
