NORTHERN CAPE - The alertness of members of Pofadder SAPS led to the recovery of the ambulance minutes after it was allegedly stolen from the hospital premises in Pofadder.

The ambulance was apparently parked in front of the hospital when it stolen on 24 February 2024 at about 18:00.

Police recovered the ambulance on the N14 near the Gamsberg Mine between Pofadder and Aggenys minutes later.

The two suspects are aged 23 and 28 years old and were arrested for theft of a motor vehicle and are expected to appear in the Pofadder Magistrates Court soon.
