CAPE TOWN - The swift response by members of Milnerton police led to the arrest of two adult males for the illegal possession of drugs in Diana Street, Sanddrift, Milnerton on Monday morning, 06 May 2024.

The members followed up on information received about a suspect that was involved in dealing in drugs at the mentioned address. A search of the premises was conducted which resulted in the confiscation of 203 mandrax tablets, several small bankies containing crushed mandrax, various transparent plastic bags containing tik and a few transparent plastic bags containing cocaine. The members also seized R1340.00 in cash believed to be the proceeds of the illicit drug trade as well as a scale.

The discovery is estimated at a substantial amount which still needs to be determined.

The suspects aged 33 and 32, will appear in the Cape Town Magistrates’ Court once they have been charged.
