PARKWEG - A man was found with a bag full of stolen power tools and arrested by the Bloemfontein Flying Squad.

On 25 May 2024, Bloemfontein Flying Squad members received information about a suspect in possession of suspected stolen property.

The members rushed to Arboretum and stopped an unknown male pushing a shopping trolley with a green sports bag inside. Members took the heavy-loaded sports bag out of the trolley and upon searching the bag, they found electrical power tools such as a circular saw, belt sanders, impact drills, hand planer, multipurpose tool, chargers, cordless hand drill, drill bits, measuring tape, hole saw bits and screwdrivers.

Further investigations revealed that the items were stolen from the back of a vehicle. A case of possession of suspected stolen property was opened at the Park Road Police Station and the suspect, aged 38, was arrested.

He will appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court soon.
