BLOEMFONTEIN - By the command of Free State Operational Command Centre, various units of the South African Police Service such as Pro-active Policing, Public Order Policing, Mounted, K9, Visible Policing and Corporate Communication and Liaison are busy with execution of operational concepts in Bloemfontein City, with main focus on Central Business District.

The aim of the high visibility deployment is, among others, prevention of common robberies, common theft, theft out of/ from motor vehicles, visit to second-hand dealers, raid at drug posts, search for illegal firearms and interception of suspected stolen property.

Planned Operation Shanela II actions will be carried out by integrated forces in all districts of Free State Province over the weekend and beyond.
