TSOMO - In a crime intelligence driven operation Police members attached at Tsomo and Cofimvaba SAPS arrested four suspects for possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition on Wednesday 05 June 2024.

Members followed up on positive information of vehicles suspected to commit robbery in town.  A vehicle was spotted on R61 between Tsomo and Cofimvaba near Hange Junction and ensued. They managed to stop it, and upon searching, shotgun, 9mm pistol, and live ammunition were recovered.

Four suspects between 28 and 40 years were arrested in possession of firearms, and ammunition and firearms will be sent to ballistic tests.

All suspects will appear before the Tsomo Magistrate Court on Monday.

Chris Hani District Commissioner Major General Rudolph Adolph commended the members for good work as they prevented possible robberies.
