KING WILLIAM’S TOWN On 27 July 2015 two suspects, aged 25 and 54 accordingly, were arrested and a 9mm SHORT (AUSTRIA) Firearm with 7 rounds of ammunition were recovered at North Street in Uitenhage.

This was subsequent to the Uitenhage Crime Intelligence Unit following up on valuable information which led them to the suspects.

The members arrested the suspects on the spot and seized the firearm, ammunition and a white Honda Ballade in which the two travelled in.

The firearm will be sent for Ballistic Tests to ascertain if the firearm was used in other crimes.

The suspects will appear on a charge of possession of firearm and ammunition without licence in the Uitenhage Magistrate’s Court soon.
