POLOKWANE - The top management of the South African Police Service (SAPS) in Limpopo, led by Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, attended the opening of Parliament at Jack Botes Hall in Polokwane.The event marked the beginning of the parliamentary session, and SAPS Limpopo played a crucial role in ensuring the security of the proceedings.

Upon arrival, the SAPS team conducted a thorough security assessment to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities. They worked closely with other law enforcement agencies and stakeholders to implement a comprehensive security plan, which included, access control measures to screen attendees and prevent unauthorized, deployment of tactical units, such as the Public Order Police and the Tactical Response Team, to respond to any potential threats.

In addition, intelligence gathering and monitoring to identify and mitigate potential security risks as well as coordination with other agencies, such as the National Prosecuting Authority and the Department of Justice, to ensure a unified response to any security incidents.

Throughout the event, SAPS Limpopo's top management maintained a visible presence, overseeing the security operations and ensuring that all measures were in place to guarantee the safety of attendees, including dignitaries, members of parliament, and the general public.

The Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe praised the effective planning, coordination, and execution by SAPS Limpopo's top management and personnel, which ensured the security successful operation
