Media Statement from Eastern Cape Media Centre KING WILLIAM’S TOWN – Today, Butterworth Police Station Community Policing Forum Youth and Butterworth Police Social Crime Prevention Unit members donated fruit, boxes of milk, bags of oranges, sugar and packets of tea to the Cingela Old Age home for the Elderly. The donation was done as part of the on-going Mandela 67 minutes. Cingela Old Age home is based at Butterworth and was founded in 2004; it has about twenty old women and men; some, who are residents of the home as a result of being abused by their children and grandchildren in many ways. The home is visited on a daily basis by the sector crime commander to make sure that the elders are safe.
