Media Statement KING WILLIAMS TOWN - Two suspects were arrested at Kubusiedrift after they were caught stealing eighty eight (88) sheep yesterday. This comes after Police were alerted by a community member after seeing his sheep out of the camp. Quick response led Police to arrest two males aged 34 and 53 years on the farm. On Police investigation they searched the suspects and recover knives, pliers and rope that were allegedly been used to commit crime. Police also saw that the fence was cut off near the road. Eighty eight (88) sheep were recovered and given back to the lawful owner. Suspects were charged for Stock Theft and will appear at Stutterheim Magistrate Court tomorrow. King William’s Town SAPS Cluster Commander Brigadier Luntu Ngubelanga congratulated the members for the swift response to such matters and encouraged all the units to do their best "Work hand in hand with community members and stock owners to fight the scourge of stock theft. Members of the public to refrain from buying meat and stock from unscrupulous dealers who do not own stock or have positive proof that they are the rightful owners of the goods for sale.
