Police investigating an Inquest after two sets of human remains were found in Hertzogville

HERTZOGVILLE - Police in Hertzogville seek assistance from the public in identifying human remains that were discovered on Monday, 30 September 2024.

According to reports, the police were summoned to a gravel road near a farm in the Hertzogville district. Upon arrival at the scene, they found two human remains in a decomposed state, lying behind a heap of rocks. They were identified as that of a female and a small child.

The female victim has goldish hair, was covered with a towel on the upper body and blue leggings, black tights, pink body warmer and white flip flops found next to her. While next to the child they found blue baby pants and a vest.

The police have opened an inquest docket and investigations are ongoing.
