POLOKWANE - Two male suspects aged 26 and 30 were arrested for possession of suspected stolen property during a music festival held in Polokwane, old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Sunday 22 December 2024 at about 04:30.

The members of Public Order Policing (POPS) received a complaint about a series of stolen cellphones from the revellers at the venue and an immediate manhunt of the unknown suspects commenced for their apprehension.

A 26-year-old suspect was found in possession of two cellphones and his 30-year-old accomplice with twelve (12) cellphones.

Some of the victims managed to identify and recover their cellphones at the local police station.

The suspects are expected to appear before the Polokwane Magistrate court soon facing a charge of possession of suspected stolen property.

Police investigations are continuing.
