POLOKWANE - The Acting Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo, Major General Jan Scheepers has activated a multi-disciplinary team to hunt down the suspects involved in a house-robbery and gruesome murder of 56-year-old male caretaker, at Polokwane residential area.

The discovery was made on Wednesday, 24 September 2025.

The preliminary report suggests that the victim was last seen on Friday, 19 September 2025, in the afternoon by his co-worker.

This morning, Wednesday, 24 September 2025, at around 11:00, the landlord arrived at the house as usual and requested entry at the gate. He was surprised to find the gate slightly opened.

He proceeded to the main house, noticed the door wide open, and the property scattered. He then found the victim laying in the pool of blood and immediately summoned the police and paramedics. The victim was found brutally stabbed and tied up. He was certified dead at the scene.

The suspects are still unknown at this stage. Police investigations are underway.
