Suspects aged between 21 and 23 were found in possession of a .38 revolver and a 7.65 pistol and ammunition.

It is alleged that a 64-year-old farm owner and her workers were accosted by three unknown men who robbed them of two firearms with 82 live rounds of ammunition, undisclosed amount of cash, cell phones and a laptop in a farm near Mevamhlophe area, Empangeni. Police confiscated two firearms, 82 live rounds of ammunition, and cell phones which were allegedly taken during the robbery. The confiscated firearms will be taken to ballistics to ascertain whether they have been used in the commission of crime in the country.
