A suspect wanted for attempted murder was arrested this morning after being on the run for several years. The Rosedale SAPS Detective Unit followed up on information regarding the wanted suspect.

In October 2004, Ulrich Cloete (29) appeared in the Upington Magistrate’s Court on a charge of attempted murder. It is alleged that on 9 October 2004, he stabbed an adult male; he was released on bail. He failed to attend his next court appearance and a warrant of arrest was issued by the Magistrate.

He was arrested at approximately 11:00 in a house in Upington. The suspect will be appearing in the Upington Magistrate’s Court soon.
