GQEBERHA - SAPS Humewood launched a manhunt for a male suspect, who is believed to be in his twenties, after he allegedly murdered a student and injured another during a house robbery in Summerstrand on 13 October2025 at about 19:15.

This followed after an unknown male suspect entered the students residence in Admirality Way, Summerstrand armed with a knife. He allegedly confronted a 23-year-old female and started stabbing her while she was screaming. Another 20-year-old female was also stabbed during the incident.

The suspect fled the scene after taking two cellphones and a laptop. The injured 20- year-old female was taken to hospital for medical assistance, but the other victim (23) died on the scene.
