NORTH WEST – The Hawks’ Serious Organised Crime Investigation have seized a truck that was found with 36 tons of chrome worth approximately R90 000-00 on Wednesday, 21 October 2020.

Members of Rustenburg Serious Organised Crime Investigation Unit, together with Sun City SAPS reacted swiftly to the information received about a truck that was parked next to the road at Ledig village. The driver spotted the police and ran away, but the police chased him and managed to apprehend him. The truck was searched and found loaded with 36 tons of chrome.

The truck and the chrome have been seized for further investigation.
