Media Statement POLOKWANE - Two male suspects, aged 40 and 43, were nabbed separately for possession and dealing in dagga with a combined value of R162 000 at Ohrigstad in Sekhukhune District and Westenburg Capricorn District, during operations conducted between Monday, 14 July and Tuesday, 15 July 2025. In Ohrigstad policing area, the members of Crime Prevention conducted operation Shanela II, along R555 in the area, when they stopped and searched a suspicious white Np200 Nissan, on Monday, 15 July 2025. They found the vehicle loaded with 15 bags containing dagga at an estimated street value of R112 000. A 43-year-old male who was driving alone to Polokwane, was immediately arrested for possession and dealing in dagga. Meanwhile, a 40-year-old male was arrested by members of Provincial Flying Squad at Ladanna in Westenburg policing area for possession and dealing in dagga. According to information, the team received information and swiftly activated an operation in the area, between Monday, 14 July 2025 and Tuesday, 15 July 2025, at around 02:00. The suspect was found in possession of dagga intended to be delivered at Ladanna. He further took the Police to his residence, where more dagga was discovered packaged in bags. He was immediately arrested. All the dagga was at an estimated street value of R50 000. The Provincial Commissioner of Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, has welcomed the arrest of the suspects and applauded the members for their alertness and quick response. The suspects will appear separately at Praktiseer and Polokwane Magistrate's court on soon. Police investigations are ongoing. Ends
