The SAPS Provincial Flying Squad in Kimberley arrested two men for being in possession of suspected stolen goods in Gemdene, Kimberley. On Tuesday, 25 June 2019, just after midday, the police were busy with routine patrols when they spotted two men carrying a suspicious looking bag. The men were on foot and approaching a local scrap metal dealer when police stopped and searched them.

The police arrested the duo with 8.3kg of copper wire, worth approximately R5000. The men are aged 25 and 29 years old respectively and should be appearing in the Kimberley Magistrates’ Court soon. The investigation continues.
