POLOKWANE - The Police in Watervaal arrested a 28-year-old old man for rape, kidnapping and intimidating her mother at Magangeni village in Watervaal policing area

According to the preliminary reports on Saturday, 13 December 2025, at around 18:30, the suspect came home and started to demand money from his mother, and she responded that she had no cash.

The suspect apparently became aggressive toward her mother, who is on medical condition. The suspect allegedly insulted and attacked her mother and suddenly raped her

The victim tried to resist, but she was overpowered.

 After the alleged rape ordeal, he locked the victim inside the house and left.

The victim managed to get assistance from members of the community who unlocked the house and freed her. She then informed the Police about the incident and a rape case was registered at Watervaal SAPS.

The suspect was arrested in the early hours of Monday, 15 December 2025. He will appear before Watervaal Magistrate court on Wednesday, 17 December 2025, for rape, intimidation, and kidnapping.
