BLOEMFONTEIN - Public Order Police Unit Bloemfontein operators continue to raid identified drug posts across Mangaung Metro as part of Safer Festive Season activities with clear intention to get drug peddlers such as Rickie, who recently evaded arrest with the help of unruly community members, behind bars where they belong.

The team pounced on the drug post on the corner of Hillcrest and De Vries Streets and arrested two (2) suspects aged 36 and 39 found selling drugs. The police seized 22 full Mandrax tablets weighing at 32 grams; 28 plastic knots containing crushed Rock weighing at 6 grams, and cash believed to be proceeds of drugs. A case docket of Dealing in drugs was opened at Heidedal Police Station.

The suspects will appear in Bloemfontein Magistrate Court soon. Different Operation Shanela II operational concepts continue to be carried out throughout Free State Province.
