BOHLOKONG – A 41-year-old man from Bohlokong has been arrested after allegedly murdering his friend during an altercation at a residential property.

It is alleged that on Thursday, 1 January 2026, at about 18:00, the suspect and the deceased, together with other individuals, were seated in a garage consuming alcohol when an argument broke out. The injured man was rushed to a local hospital for medical treatment but succumbed to his injuries. He sustained a fatal open stab wound to the face. Police were alerted at the hospital and immediately initiated an investigation.

At approximately 21:00 on the same day, the suspect handed himself over to the police.
