POLOKWANE - The members of Bela-Bela Detectives conducted an intelligence-driven operation on Wednesday, 07 January 2026, at Bela-Bela policing area, targeting suspects linked to a burglary at a residential premises committed earlier in January 2026. The operation formed part of the ongoing Festive Season Operations aimed at curbing crime and ensuring the safety of the community.

During the operation, one male suspect aged 21 was arrested and found in possession of suspected stolen property, including a laptop, an inverter, and a wristwatch, with an estimated value of R6 500-00. The recovered items are believed to be linked to the reported burglary case.

The suspect is expected to appear before the Bela-Bela Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 09 January 2026, on charges of burglary at a residential premises and possession of suspected stolen property.

Investigations are ongoing.
