POLOKWANE – Two more suspects, aged 24 and 29, responsible for a murder at Mohodi Madikana under the Mogwadi policing area, will appear before the Seshego Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 19 January 2026.

On Monday, 22 September 2025, at around 21:00, police received tip-off information about a male person who was murdered at his residence in Mohodi village. Upon arrival at the scene, the victim was found lying in a pool of blood with a gunshot wound. Preliminary investigation reports suggest that the suspects called the victim and ordered him to come outside, but the deceased never responded. They then kicked his door open and started to assault the victim and his brother. In the process, the victim was shot in the upper body, and the suspects fled the scene with a bakkie.

Emergency medical personnel were summoned to the scene, and the victim was pronounced dead.

A case of murder was registered and transferred to the Provincial Murder and Robbery Investigation Unit. On Saturday, 17 January 2026, the Provincial Murder and Robbery Investigation Unit, Provincial Tracking Team, and Provincial Flying Squad acted on an intelligence-driven operation at Moletjie Ga-Mabokele and Ga-Hlahla, where the suspects were located at their hiding places and arrested.
