Media Statement POLOKWANE – The Police in Limpopo have arrested three male suspects following a planned operation that dismantled a group allegedly terrorising the Musina community through a series of armed robberies. The operation was conducted on 03 February 2026, by the Musina Task Team in collaboration with Crime Prevention unit and targeted suspects linked to robbery with a firearm, possession of unlicensed firearms, and the use of motor vehicles in the commission of crimes. During the operation, three male suspects aged between 25 and 46 were arrested in Matswale Phase 09 and Matswale Extension 09. The suspects are linked to a robbery with a firearm case reported in Musina during December 2025. Two motor vehicles believed to have been used in the commission of the crimes were seized and will form part of the investigation. The suspects are expected to appear soon before the Musina Magistrate’s Court on charges of robbery with a firearm and related offences. An additional suspect remains outstanding while the tracing operation has been intensified for his apprehension. The Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe, commended the members for decisive action and reiterated that SAPS will not tolerate criminal elements that terrorise communities. Ends
