POLOKWANE - The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has reiterated that the SAPS in the province is fully operational and ready to ensure a safe and secure  State of the Province Address (SOPA) scheduled for Thursday, 05 March 2026.

Comprehensive security measures have been put in place in and around the venue, including the deployment of Public Order Policing, Tactical Response Teams, Traffic officials, and other specialised units. Operational plans have been finalised following thorough risk assessments and co-ordination with relevant role players.

The Provincial Commissioner has urged members of the public to co-operate with various law enforcement officers deployed on the ground, thus adhering to all security arrangements and traffic directives that will be implemented.

“The safety and security of all attendees and residents of Limpopo remain our priority. We are confident in our operational plans and the commitment of our members to ensure that the event proceeds without any incidents,” said Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe.
