KIMBERLEY - On Saturday, 14 March 2026 the District Commissioner of Frances Baard, Major General Charlotte Makgari together with the Provincial Community Police Board, led by Mr Clement Baai joined hands in electing the new Frances Baard District Community Policing Forum.

The elections were conducted at the Kimberley SAPS Gymnasium and the process was facilitated and directed by Tebogo Sereetse from the Provincial CPF board together with Sergeant Ompusesseditse Mankuroane who directed the programme.

The Frances Baard District Vispol Commander Co-ordinator Colonel Ishmael Bok outlined the purpose of the meeting, and  further emphasized the importance of having a pro-active CPF board,which has one goal in mind, combating crime.

He further reflected on the three (03) former Frances Baard District CPF members performance,who were  elevated to the Provincial CPF board and encouraged members to participate in the nominating and voting processes.

Candidates were nominated and the house voted for their newly elected Frances Baard District CPF board and the process was over seen by Mr Shaun Brandt and Captain Obakwe Kopang.

Secretary - Mr Joseph Modise
Deputy Secretary - Ms Kelebogile Libitsa
Treasurer - Ms Kelebogile Thebe

Major General Charlotte Makgari congratulated the newly appointed Frances Baard District CPF board, and reminded them of the task at hand and encouraged them to strengthen the Community in Blue Patrollers, by inviting community structures that have the same objective of combating and preventing crime.

She further extended her gratitude to the members for committing to creating a safe and secure South Africa for all the inhabitants in partnership with the police.
