BRONVILLE - Police have recovered a murder weapon alleged to be used in the recent murder incident. This is after five suspects were arrested for the alleged murder that occurred in Bronville on Sunday, 5 April 2026.

On Tuesday, 7 April 2026 during investigations one of the suspects revealed to the police where the murder weapon was hidden. The suspect was officially booked out of the police holding cells for the purpose of the investigation. He then led police to a bushy area in Bronville not far from the scene of crime.

Police confiscated one black knife found hidden in the bush. The knife was booked in as evidence and will be taken for forensic analysis.

The five suspects are expected to appear in the Welkom Magistrate's Court today, 8 April 2026.
