Bayswater police seek public assistance to locate missing man (52)

FREE STATE - Police in Bayswater has launched a search operation following the disappearance of Joshua Mathe Tshabalala (52).

​According to reports, Mr. Tshabalala was last seen on Wednesday, 08 April 2026. He was reportedly dropped off by his brother-in-law at a filling station in the vicinity of the Bayswater Police Station. He has not been seen or heard from since.

At the time of his disappearance, Joshua was wearing a black "Sharks" rugby T-shirt, pair of blue jeans and white sneakers (tekkies).

​The police are appealing to anyone who may have seen Mr. Tshabalala or has any information regarding his current whereabouts to come forward and contact Colonel Nqukuva (Station Commander, Bayswater SAPS) on 082 467 6081, SAPS Crime Stop line 08600 10111 or submit an anonymous tipoff via MySAPS App

There is no waiting period to report a person as missing. Early reporting can be crucial in ensuring a safe return.
