Media Statement from Western Cape Media Centre Western Cape: Yesterday 12 January 2016 at 15:00 a 15 year old boy was arrested for the possession of an unlicensed firearm. Members of Manenberg crime prevention unit were patrolling the Manenberg area when they received information regarding a suspicious young person in Greatfish road. They patrolled Greatfish Avenue where they stopped and searched a young boy, upon searching the boy a firearm was found in his possession. The pistol is registered to a person who is deceased it is unknown how he got possession of it. The 15 year old boy was arrested and will be charged and appear in court soon.
