Nelspruit - Police are pleading for assistance with information that can lead to the arrest of suspects responsible for two robberies which occurred in separate incident early this morning at Middelburg and Belfast, respectively.

First to be reported was the robbery that occurred today at about 02:55, where seven men went into a drive through of KFC and pointed a cashier with a firearm. The cashier managed to escape and two of the suspects jumped inside the shop through the window leaving the other suspects on guard. They then took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene in a blue vehicle.

The second incident occurred at about 09:15, where two employees of a retail shop in Belfast were robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash while on their way to the bank. Three unknown armed men approached them and forcefully took a crate that was containing money from the victims at gunpoint. They then fled the scene on foot.

In all these incidents no arrest has been made yet and any person with information may contact Lieutenant Colonel David Seimela at 072 320 3247 with the Middelburg robbery and Detective Constable Kamella Sello at 078 536 2484 for Belfast.
