Media Statement from KwaZulu Natal Media Centre The detectives at Mpumalanga SAPS would like to make an appeal to the members of the community with information that could assist them to solve two cases of murder and one for attempted murder. On Saturday 5 March 2016, a funeral service was held at the community hall along Miya road, Mpumalanga township. It is alleged that during the funeral service shots were fired by unknown suspects and a victim who was identified as Thabiso Mavundla (21) was fatally wounded. In another incident yesterday, 7 March 2016 at approximately 01:45, two security guards were on duty at George Dale Railway Station when they were allegedly attacked by three armed suspects. The victim (27) died at the scene and the other victim (40) was transferred to hospital for medical attention.
