On Friday 29 April 2016 about 07:10, Mitchell's Plain police received a complaint of a business robbery at the corners of Liberator and Caravelle Streets, Rocklands. It is alleged that six unknown armed suspects entered a cash and carry (superette) store and they pointed firearms at the employees. The suspects used their firearms to assault the persons inside the shop before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash and 23 cellular phones.

A business robbery case was opened for investigation. No arrests have as yet been made.
