Police in Kimberley are investigating a case of robbery and kidnapping. On 26 March 2016 at approximately 21:00 a 36-year-old man allegedly stopped along the roadside on the R31 near Kimberley, to stretch his legs. The man further alleges that three men approached him with a firearm and knives. One of the suspects sprayed the victim in his face with pepper-spray and blind folded him while pushing him into the passenger seat. One of the suspects drove the vehicle and halted the car after having a tyre-burst on a gravel road. The suspects fled with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.

Police request that anyone with information regarding the incident please contact D/WO Patrick Dibebe on 071 166 4586. All information will be treated with the strictest of confidence.

The investigation continue.
