Update – Yesterday, 18 May 2016 a second suspect aged 42 who is a master mind in the illegal copper dealing was arrested in Verulam area. Members persisted with their hard work until a third suspect aged 36 was also arrested. The third suspect will be further charged for bribery since he offered to pay R10 000 for the case to be squashed. Hawks members seized the money and put him behind bars. Both suspects are expected to appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 23 May 2016.
