KwaZulu-Natal Hawks members lend a hand during Mandela Day

KWAZULU-NATAL – Hawks members in KwaZulu-Natal celebrated Mandela Day by visiting those in need in various areas around Durban. Members divided themselves into four groups to reach homes in KwaMashu, Lamontville, Redhill and Welbedacht.

In KwaMashu, members visited Christian Old Age Centre where they provided lunch to grannies and granddads. Prayers were also conducted during the visits. The other groups went to Sbonelo Community Centre, Khulani Care Centre and Issy Geshen where they donated blankets, groceries, toys and toiletries.

Hawks members are playing a pivotal role in investigating organised crime, fraud and corruption around the country however, during the 67 minutes of Mandela Day, they dedicated their time and efforts to take care of the needy.
