The suspect was arrested in Gauteng and transported to the Eastern Cape. He made a brief appearance in the Alexandria Magistrates Court on Friday 2021-06-11. He has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance on Friday 18th June 2021 for a formal bail application.

The SAPS extends its appreciation to the community who boldly assisted in the investigation.
