Two suspects, Gift Malata (25) and Oscar Moyo (26) appeared before Wolmaransstad Magistrate's court on Friday, 26 April 2013 on allegations of theft of the railway line brackets at the railway station near Tswelelang Township in Wolmaransstad.

 

The suspects were denied bail as their residential addresses had to be confirmed and verified. They will appear again on 3 May 2013 for bail application

 

It is alleged that the two suspects from Tembisa in Gauteng Province were arrested on 24 April 2013 after the Police received a tipoff that there were people stealing the railway line brackets.

 

Upon arrival police officials found three men disconnecting the railway line brackets from the railway line with a blue truck parked few kilometres away from them. One suspect ran way while the other two were arrested. It is alleged that suspects sell these brackets at scrap yards. Police are investigating.
