SIYABUSWA - As we celebrate the Women's Month, two awaiting trial prisoners aged 26 and 30, are due to appear before the High Court sitting at Mkobola in Siyabuswa on Monday, 15 August 2016, for a trial on a series of crimes totalling 49.

The accused were traced and arrested in November 2014, after they were reportedly terrorising the community of Siyabuswa and vicinity including Maganagoboswa between 2012 and 2014, and were since kept in custody. They targeted victims between the ages of 15 and 34, who were from churches including taverns at night and the early hours of the morning.

The accused are facing 25 charges of rape, nine for robbery with firearm, seven for assault with intent to cause bodily harm, four for kidnapping, and four for contravention of the Firearm Control Act.
