Cape Town man nabbed with police uniforms, explosives

PRETORIA – The Hawks’ operation in Mfuleni, Cape Town resulted in the discovery of South African Police Service’s uniforms and explosives at a house of a suspect in Gcuwa Street, Mfuleni on Thursday morning.

The Hawks were following information on the man suspected to have been behind the killing of a police officer who was attending to an ATM bombing scene in Delft. The 26-year-old suspect was nabbed at and has been charged with possession of explosives.

He will appear before the Blue Downs Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 29 August 2016
