Dangerous criminal escapes form Kgosi Mampuru Correctional Service: Police appeal for information

Police have launched a manhunt for Henry Edema Timaya Onoh alias Spiderman, a dangerous prisoner who escaped from Kgosi Mampuru Correctional Services while he was due to be sentenced for serious and violent crimes including house robberies, rape, housebreaking and theft. He escaped on the 3 December in the early hours of the morning. Police are appealing to anyone who may have information to contact Crime Stop at 08600 10111. The prisoner is considered to be armed and dangerous.

The escapee was due to be sentenced on the 5th December 2016 at the Pretoria Magistrates’ Court. Circumstances of his escape from the Correctional Service are being investigated.

It is suspected that the prisoner who is a Nigerian national might also have fled to other Provinces. He has been linked to other serious crimes to as far as Mpumalanga and KwaZulu-Natal. Anyone with information may also contact the investigating officer Detective Warrant Officer Louis Hoffman of the Pretoria Moot police station at 083 650 0820 at all hours. Any information that may lead to the arrest of the prisoner may be rewarded
