Yesterday at about 13:30, five armed suspects perpetrated a robbery at a shop in C Block, Site C, Khayelitsha and fled the scene with cash, airtime vouchers and cigarettes. Our investigation into the circumstances of the robbery resulted in the arrest of the five suspects shortly after the incident. The suspects led police to the supplier of the firearm and he was arrested for being in possession of a prohibited firearm. The six suspects, aged between 18 and 27, will appear in court on they have been charged.
