Media Statement from Western Cape Media Centre Western Cape: A 24 year old woman is expected to appear in Athlone Magistrate’s Court tomorrow (Wednesday, 2017-01-11) facing a charge of murder. The suspect allegedly stabbed a 29 year old victim to death after the deceased had overpowered her while they were fighting over a dress the deceased had borrowed. When the suspect saw that the deceased was overpowering her she allegedly took a bread knife and stabbed the deceased. The suspect was arrested yesterday (Monday, 2017-01-09) two hours after the incident had occurred. Meanwhile a 25 year old man is also expected to appear in Wynberg Magistrate’s Court tomorrow (Wednesday, 2017-01-11) on rape charges.
