King William’s Town:  Dedicated teamwork by detectives of SAPS Hankey led to the successful apprehension of ten suspects (ages between 21 and 51) and the recovery of stolen property to the value of more than R100 000.00 in the early hours of Friday, 24 April 2020.

The team received valuable information about stolen property being stashed in Centerton in Hankey. The ten suspects were arrested after back up batteries, network regulators, compressors and other electronic equipment were found in the possession of the suspects. The suspects are due to appear in the Hankey Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, 28 April 2020 on a charge of possession of suspected stolen property.

Eastern Cape Provincial Commissioner Lt Gen Liziwe Ntshinga commended the members for the dedication and commitment the members portrayed towards their vocation.
