EASTERN CAPE - Dutywa Police arrested a 27-year-old man for alleged murder of a 28-year-old man. The suspect was arrested on Thursday, 17 September 2020 at Dutywa. It is alleged that Dutywa Police received a phone call that there was a man who was murdered at Zone 14 Informal Settlement, Dutywa.

The swift investigation of the Dutywa Police led to the arrest of the suspect. The deceased was found inside river banks not far from Zone 14 Informal Settlement, Dutywa.

The motive for the murder is not clear presently. The identity of the deceased will be released once all his relatives are officially informed of his murder. The murder was committed on Wednesday, 16 September 2020 at about 21:00 at Zone 14 Informal Settlement, Dutywa. The suspect is due to appear before the Dutywa Magistrate’s Court on Friday, 18 September 2020 on a charge of murder.
