PRETORIA - The National Commissioner of the South African Police Service (SAPS), General Fannie Masemola will conduct a state of readiness visit to Gauteng operations on Friday, 17 March 2023. 

The aim of the visit is to assess and ensure that Gauteng police are ready to police the planned protest that is set to take place on Monday, 20 March 2023

The Minister of Police, General Bheki Cele and the Provincial Commissioner of Gauteng, Lieutenant General Elias Mawela will form part of the visit to operations which will commence with an address to a multidisciplinary parade.

The visit will unfold as follows:
